(As a feed- back in respect to my question about xview/openwin I can tell you that I got the sources now and will try to build it myself, but textedit is still missing...). Since some releases back of zsh it dumps core when invoked by xterm. It works flawlessly with rxvt, however. I cannot remember the exact version, but some time back, when 2.5 was in beta it still worked with xterm. Further debugging was unsuccessful, even if built with -g, examining the core with gdb and doing a backtrace only yielded "_entry" as the first frame and "_end" as the second!!??
