Some distributions of Linux provide a number of additional installation
procedures, allowing you to configure various software packages such
as TCP/IP networking, the X Window System, and so on. If you are
provided with these configuration options during installation, you may
wish to read ahead in this book for more information on how to
configure this software. Otherwise, you should put off these installation
procedures until you have a complete understanding of how to
configure the software.

It's up to you; if all else fails, just go with the flow and see what
happens. It's very doubtful that anything that you do incorrectly now
cannot be undone in the future. (Knock on wood.)
